Rumors Abound About Borders Closing to Latinia

The Patriot has received information from an undisclosed source that Chile is threatening to close its border with Latinia, which would greatly jeopardize the prized Porto Vieja project. Should this occur, it would prevent Latinia from exporting oil to the rest of the world.

The Amazona state-owned Esmeralda Energy Company spokesman, Mohammad Darwazah says the company is not surprised by the news and remains hopeful that should the border be closed it would force the Latinian government to take a stronger stance, ultimately making the climate more favorable for the oil business.
