A deflector from Los Radicales provided the Patriot with insider information after her extreme frustration with Radicales' failure to take a firm stand on negotiation issues and what was referred by her as "gross compromises." According to the former Minister of Family Affairs, Radicales Minister of Mining Diego Aguirre is in cohorts with international businessman and ex-KGB agent Vladimir Krivitsky regarding copper mining in Latinia.
The deflector provided confidential Radicales briefings which stated that Krivitsky told Aguirre that his company, RRI (which deals with oil and gas exploration) could "do better than Wombat Mining" in Latinia. Krivitsky said that Wombat is an admirable company, contradicting the confidential documents.
Besides oil and gas, RRI is also involved with second hand armaments. Purportedly, Krivitsky invited Aguirre for private discussions where he revealed that "Latinia could do better than Wombat", saying that RRI would be sympathetic with the Latinian government regarding the nationalization of resources.
It is also alleged that Krivitsky would offer the government payments in copper if it can become the technical service provider for the Latinian government. Mr. Krivitsky is also reported as having conducted evaluations to target in U.S. oil fields and making pleas to take over a Hickory Resource entity. Krivitsky refused to divulge further information under the auspices of commercial confidentiality. Krivitsky did affirm RRI's extensive interests in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
The Patriot asked the US government about its involvement, if any, with Krivitsky to which they replied that regarding Latinian/U.S. relations, Krivitsky is a businessman, not a member of the government. The U.S. made statements, however, that Krivitsky is wanted by Interpol for killing an Hungarian Freedom Fighter.
The US also told the Patriot that Aguirre's US visa had been revoked.
Unconfirmed reports have also been made that Krivitsky conducts illegal business deals throughout the world. The Patriot considers the revocation of Aguirre's US visa to be in connection with Krivitsky's alleged business propositions in Latinia.
Los Radicales report that Krivitsky is currently in detention based on Interpol's arrest warrent -- he was in Latinia attempting to sell RPGs, hind helicopters and tear gas to opposition group Los Colorados. Vice President Karina Swensona confirmed these reports. Currently, Radicales is working with other groups to determine where Krivitsky should be tried.
